While BookTaco may tout being CCSS aligned, after reviewing their alignment map, the connections to standards are loose. The program itself is intended for grades K-8 and would be a better fit in lower grades if it held any merit with it's claim of boosting motivation and assessing comprehension. The assessment portion of BookTaco are simple comprehension questions that resemble Accelerated Reader's book quizzes and give a superficial look into a student's comprehension.
