Health Standards: Strand 2: MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL HEALTH (MEH) Kinder Students will identify emotions and how to appropriately react to different emotions. Grade 1 Students will practice expressing emotions and bully prevention strategies. Grade 2 Students will identify and respond to various emotions in appropriate ways. Grade 3 Students will learn how to cope with emotions and stress Grade 4th Students will identify and practice strategies that promote positive mental and emotional health. Grade 5th Students will examine personal traits and lifestyles and how they impact overall wellness. Grade 6th Students will explore common life changes and practice strategies to reduce risk factors and enhance factors that promote positive mental and emotional health. It is also part of the schools Continues improvement plan: By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, the percentage of students who report that they frequently feel positive emotions will increase by 12%. It also ties to the district strategic plan under social emotional learning.
