Wordspring is a program you download to your computer. It provides free lesson planning resources for teachers who use phonic-based methods for literacy instruction.

Each teacher will set up their own account and need the STS or other person with admin. credentials in order to download the program. Only one download per e-mail is allowed.

This is a software program that is free to download. It is meant for teacher use. Teachers use the program to generate list of words based on targeted phonics and vocabulary focus in instruction. Teachers have the option to generate nonsense words. Nonsense words should only be used to assess a student's proficiency of a phonics element. Nonsense words should not be used to practice word reading.
