Purpose / Use / Notes*: Avant is the vendor that the USBE has approved for the Demonstrated Competency Assessment program. Students take the 4S Language test to determine if they earn 1 or 2 credits for World Language. It is also used for Seal of Biliteracy for languages not supported by the AAPPL test. When a test is requested, GSD Testing Center orders a license and administers the web-embedded test. Vendor does scoring of responses.
