This display covers data from 11/9/2020 - 11/23/2020 and is updated daily (with a 48-hour delay to confirm with the Salt Lake County Health Department and process case information) using data for the previous two weeks as provided by the Salt Lake County Health Department. To ensure compliance with federal health privacy laws, the district and individual schools are NOT permitted to disclose breakdowns between staff and student cases, nor identify grade or class information.

These counts are based on a two week window of cases as confirmed by the Salt Lake County Health Department, and will fluctuate week to week. The Utah Department of Health defines an outbreak as 2 or more cases in a class/team in a 14-day period in a single location.

NOTE: Health officials have noted that the bulk of transmissions appear to be community level spread (after-school social and family interactions), as opposed to school spread transmissions. Mitigation practices will continue at schools, but we also rely on students and families to adhere to Salt Lake County health orders outside of school, including: avoiding large group gatherings (10 or more), social distancing, and wearing a mask when social distancing is NOT possible.
