Welcome to the new updated COVID Dashboard! In light of new changes adopted by the State of Utah (April, 2021) with respect to school dismissals, this dashboard now reflects these changes as follows:

This dashboard ONLY shows cases wherein there was a potential for school level exposure. Cases reported on this dashboard are cases that would count towards health department recommendations and are cases wherein the individual would have been on campus to either “give or get” COVID-19. This means that there are some cases in the community that will not be reported here, such as distance learners or cases wherein the individual was already on quarantine prior to the onset of symptoms and there was no school level exposure. Additionally, there are cases within communities wherein families are reluctant to share information with health officials which can make it difficult to report and share that data. The validity of this data will always be contingent on the public’s willingness to work and be forthright with contact tracers and other public health officials. Cases that are discovered during “Test to Stay” and "Test to Play" protocols are not included on the dashboard as public health does not count those cases towards the threshold.

We will continue to work to be as transparent with the information that we receive and confirm with public health officials.

This display covers data from 4/23/2021 - 5/7/2021 and is updated as cases are confirmed by the Salt Lake County Health Department. To ensure compliance with federal health privacy laws, the district and individual schools are NOT permitted to disclose breakdowns between staff and student cases, nor identify grade or class information.
